Corrigan Company has vast experience with electric utility companies, particularly AmerenUE. We’ve enjoyed decades of a working relationship with AmerenUE and have been entrusted to manage numerous projects at several of their plants. Recently, we completed the Buried Essential Service Water Pipe Replacement Project for them. As both the mechanical contractor and the general contractor, we played a vital role in accomplishing this task. This was the first application of high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe in an ASME class III nuclear safety related system in the United States. The completion of this project not only alleviated one of the plant’s top health risk items, it ushered in a new era of HDPE use in commercial nuclear power. AmerenUE contracted Corrigan Company to handle this exceptional project. We are very
